Sponsorship Program

What You'll Receive

As a RION Equipment CO-OP Student, you'll gain much more than classroom experience.

Our sponsorship program includes:

  • Paid tuition for an approved Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or related equipment program
  • Books, required fees, tools, and RION Equipment uniforms provided

What You'll Do

While attending school, you'll combine classroom instruction with hands-on experience in both the shop and the field.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Work alongside experienced technicians inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing material handling, construction, and aerial equipment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Learn industry-leading diagnostic and repair techniques using advanced tools and technology.
  • Participate in technical training and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop safe work habits while following company policies and procedures.
  • Represent RION Equipment professionally at work, school, and within your community.
  • Build the technical skills needed for a successful career as an equipment technician.

What We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Have earned your high school diploma (or will graduate prior to program start).
  • Plan to enroll, or are currently enrolled, in an approved Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or related equipment program.
  • Have strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through school, hobbies, work experience, or personal projects.
  • Enjoy solving problems and working with your hands.
  • Provide excellent customer service and work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a strong attendance record and positive attitude.
  • Are committed to maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
  • Have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Intend to pursue a long-term career with RION Equipment after graduation.

Students selected for the sponsorship program are expected to:

  • Maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Successfully complete both classroom and workplace learning requirements.
  • Demonstrate RION Equipment's core values in school, at work, and in the community.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
  • Make satisfactory progress toward graduation while actively participating in internship opportunities.
