Grocery Clerk (Part-Time)


Good Foods Co-op is a community-owned natural foods grocery dedicated to providing high-quality, local, and sustainable products. As a cooperative, we’re committed to supporting our community, local farmers, and producers while creating a welcoming and inclusive shopping experience.

We’re looking for a Grocery Clerk who enjoys staying active, takes pride in keeping shelves stocked and organized, and wants to be part of a team that values great service, quality products, and community.

What You’ll Do


In this role, you’ll help keep our Grocery Department running smoothly by:

  • Stocking and rotating products using FIFO (first in, first out)
  • Keeping shelves full, faced, organized, and ready for customers
  • Providing friendly, helpful customer service and assisting with product questions
  • Organizing back stock to minimize out-of-stocks and product loss
  • Receiving and processing deliveries and checking products for quality and accuracy
  • Monitoring shelf tags and sale signage for accuracy
  • Supporting inventory counts and properly handling unsellable products
  • Keeping grocery, warehouse, cooler, freezer, and shared work areas clean and organized
  • Following safety, sanitation, and store procedures
  • Working efficiently with the Grocery team to support daily department needs

Physical & Work Environment

  • Active, fast-paced retail and backroom environment
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs and team lift heavier items as needed
  • Work in varied conditions, including walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Use of step stools, ladders, and store equipment as needed

  • Starting wage: $15.00/hour, with annual reviews and growth opportunities
