Job Overview:
Winter 2027 Co-op - Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)

As a Co-op at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) you will be a part of the beverage revolution. In our fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will be embraced in a supportive role that is focused on compliance and the commitment to keeping our employees safe. Learning and understanding the regulatory aspects of our operations, you will support environmental, as well as safety standards. The amazing spectrum of work will give you vast experience from technical knowledge, application and implementation to work with, supporting and understanding successful employee relations! While you will be building your resume, you could be laying a foundation for your entire career.
This role is aligned to the Beverage Operating Unit.
Shift/Schedule:
  • The KDP 2027 Winter Co-op Program will run from January 4 - May 21, 2027
  • Full-time; 40 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:00am until 5:00pm
  • In-person in the Columbus, OH plant

As an EHS Co-op you will:
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and provide leadership during EHS-related incidents and crisis situations by assessing risks, driving timely decision-making, and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Support regulatory affairs activities by monitoring compliance requirements, tracking regulatory changes, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure adherence to applicable laws and standards.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional team meetings to drive project execution, track progress, resolve challenges, and maintain consistent communication with stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems, while coaching teams on best practices and compliance expectations.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and assessments to verify compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and established safety procedures.
  • Analyze audit findings and operational data to identify risks, recommend corrective actions, and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Collaborate with site leadership and employees to strengthen EHS awareness, engagement, and accountability across the organization.
  • Gain valuable hands-on experience and professional development opportunities through exposure to strategic EHS initiatives, leadership responsibilities, and continuous learning programs.

  • Engaging and partnering on innovative projects to gain experience in a fast paced, cross functional team environment
  • Receive mentor support for your professional development
  • Participate in meet & greets and lunch & learns with KDP executives and other organization leaders
  • Receive professional development training such as networking, professional skills development and presenting
  • Complete a project from start to finish and present it and your takeaways to your team, department, and senior leaders to highlight your project work and impact on the business

Total Rewards:
  • $31.00/ hour
  • Paid bi-weekly
  • $5,000 Sign-on Bonus, paid within first 30 days of employment

Requirements:
  • Undergraduate currently enrolled in a full time academic program from an accredited college or university, majoring in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or another related field
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills including excellent listening, written, and verbal abilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, be independently driven, and adapt to changes
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
