  • Spring 2026 Program Dates: Approximately August 2026 - December 2026
JOB SUMMARY:

The Engineer, Industrial Co-Op assists the Business Analytics & Industrial Engineering Department in accomplishing tasks, including: time studies, data collection, data analysis, metric development and execution, and projects pertaining to increasing efficiency, reducing costs, impacting sales, and improving throughput.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Execute and participate in data collection studies. Perform data analysis using statistical tools and methodologies.
  • Utilize industrial engineering and business analytics tools (e.g., probability and statistics, process flow analysis, queuing theory, data visualization / dashboarding, etc.) as appropriate to improve operational efficiency. Can include aiding in developing and using analytical forecasting/prediction models that yield process and labor improvement recommendations and improved property-wide operations planning. Could also include establishing key performance tracking metrics and monitoring ongoing performance.
  • Aid in the development and execution of productivity and efficiency related analyses. Evaluate and improve methods and procedures for the various operational processes throughout the resort.
  • Aid in the development and delivery of business cases & presentations with potential audiences including front line stakeholders, business leaders, and executive leadership.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
  • In pursuit of Bachelor's degree in an accredited Industrial Engineering or equivalent program.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 1+ year educational experience in an accredited Industrial Engineering or equivalent program, prior internship and/or prior industrial engineering experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • This Co-Op will be fully in person, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Co-Ops must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2026.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
