The Landis+Gyr Co-op program is designed to enhance the quality and scope of learning by providing students with the option of integrating academic study with related, work-based learning.  Positions begin Fall 2026 and applicants must be enrolled in the undergraduate program and available for an alternating rotating semester schedule.  This is a paid position but we don't provide housing assistance or relocation so applicants must be local to the Alpharetta, GA area and able to work fulltime hours Monday through Friday during each of the three rotating semesters.


   Represent Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both external and internal customers.
   Support and adhere to Company's Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
   Perform other duties as assigned or required
   Work onsite at Landis+Gyr's headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia
   Commitment to completing the degree program


Product and Technologies Organization Rotations


Product Owner Rotation

   Understand how customers utilize our product by interviewing stakeholders and utilizing our system, identify opportunities for user interface and user experience enhancements. Present findings to product team. 
   Help to structure and improve how our requirements are captured. Interview product owners and key stakeholders, map current workflow, identify gaps, pain points. Present requirements lifecycle map, improved work item templates, present improvement suggestions.
   Support Product Owners by helping to refine features, translating information quickly and efficiently into structured tasks, participating in feature demos, gaining exposure to the software delivery life cycle
   Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, and development teams to refine new and existing product documentation. Contribute to presentation materials, updates, and other key deliverables throughout the development cycle


Product Management Rotation


   Support Product and Portfolio Manager Requirements and Business Case

o    Develop product requirements documents that represent customer's requirements and use cases.  Validate R&D understanding of requirements through traceability and user story reviews.
o    Develop, maintain, prioritize a solution backlog.  Contributes to business reviews and planning sessions.
o    Develop complex business cases that justify New Product Introduction of new solutions
o    Support Market Survey Process and Deliverables

   Contribute to Market Launch and Commercialization

o    Support New Product Introduction, Available To Quote, Launch Readiness
o    Supports commercial activities- proposal/pricing/contracting, Sales and Solutions enablement

   Support Product Lifecycle Management

o    Support Development of and maintain product and portfolio roadmaps
o    Manage portfolio lifecycle and necessary sustainment activities (firmware, documentation, configuration options, customer communications)

Production/Supply consultative support role 


Solution Practice Rotation


   Support Solution Directors with development of technical solution proposals, RFI/RFP responses, customer presentations
   Assist the Solution Architecture team on product demo systems, technical architecture and technical innovation studies/proof of concepts
   Work with our advanced grid solutions team on thought leadership, presales and market evangelization initiatives
 

Required Skills: 

   General technology knowledge
   Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
   Excellent verbal and written communication

Required Experience: 

Co-op applicants must be an undergraduate student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management major required. Graduates and Masters level students will not be considered.
