Location: Agro Centre Vanderhoof, BC

We operate over 33 locations across Central BC, serving diverse communities from the coastline to mountains, river valleys, and agricultural fields. We are proud to be a part of these communities.

Job Overview: Reporting to the Agro Store Manager you'll be involved in:

  • Embodying Four Rivers Co-operative values: Responsibility, Integrity, Service, and Excellence
  • Working co-operatively with team members who deliver legendary service to make all guests of our Co-op feel "at home here."
  • Promoting our Co-op brand values: Locally Invested, Community-Minded, and Lifetime Membership Benefits
  • Working with the Agro team, plan and direct day-to-day operations and maintenance of the yard and fertilizer plant
  • Dispatching trucks, floaters, tenders etc for product/fertilizer
  • Lead, coach and motivate yard staff to improve productivity, engagement, and retention
  • Promoting the Four Rivers Co-op Health and Safety Program
  • Ensuring the procedures for the delivery of merchandise and chemical/fertilizer are adhered to Co-op standard
  • Responsible for accurate inventories, complying with proper classification and authorization of invoices
  • Ensuring compliance to all legislative and regulatory requirements as well as organizational and commodity programs and policies

What You Bring:

  • Progressive experience in an agricultural setting, especially in a retail environment, would be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to handle some sort of mechanical aptitude for this position since there is a lot of moving parts in the Fertilizer plant will be a huge asset

  • Solid computer skills and technical know-how
  • Proven ability to control operational costs, maximize operation efficiencies and improve growth margins
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of 6-10 employees, with strong organizational and communication skills
  • You hold a valid class 5 or better driver's license with a clean abstract
  • You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
