Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid)

Description:

Seeking a Kubernetes Engineer with deep expertise in container orchestration and CNCF ecosystem tooling. This role will focus on designing, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters to provide a resilient and scalable platform for application teams. Looking for strong communication skills, high energy, taking ownership, and not afraid to engage with customers.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals and APIs.
  • Good experience in scripting in Python.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS EKS and/or self-managed Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Helm, Operators, and CRDs.
  • Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
  • Strong communication skills, high energy, take ownership and not afraid to engage with customers.
  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD) preferred.
  • Strong Kubernetes knowledge with Red Hat OpenShift Operator framework is a plus.
  • Experience with Portworx (installation, configuration, troubleshooting) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer Kubernetes clusters (EKS, self-managed, and hybrid).
  • Automate cluster provisioning, upgrades, and scaling.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot containerized workloads and cluster-level issues.
  • Implement RBAC, network policies, and security best practices.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based deployments (ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Integrate CNCF tools (service mesh, observability, policy management).
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure optimal application performance on Kubernetes.
