Position Summary:
The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machinery to produce precision components that meet engineering and quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high-quality production in a safe, efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, or drills per job specifications and work orders. Load and secure raw materials and tools in machines for optimal performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure precise tolerances and compliance with specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code programs accurately.
  • Programming & Adjustments: Perform minor program edits and make necessary tool changes. Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform routine machine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning. Report mechanical or operational issues promptly to the supervisor.
  • Safety & Collaboration: Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE. Work collaboratively with team members, engineers, and supervisors to resolve production challenges and improve processes.
