CNC Machinist Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local machining company who is in search of a CNC Machinist to join their team. The CNC Machinist will lead the department and manufacturing of parts for the aerospace/aviation industry, which include setting up, running, performing basic CNC Programming, and employee schedules. The ideal CNC Machinist has multiple years of machine shop leadership, solid knowledge of CNC Mill and/or Lathe Machines, basic understanding of CNC Programming and leads with clear communication, attendance and punctuality. The CNC Machinist is a full-time, direct hire position in Sumner, WA.

CNC Machinist Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up & Run 2-Axis & Multi-Axis CNC Lathes With Sub-Spindle

  • Oversee & Manage The Production Team of 1-3 Employees Over 2 Shifts & The Day-to-Day Production Schedule

  • Assist & Monitor The Department For Efficiency, Quality & Accuracy

  • Ensure All Machines Are Running & Producing Quality Parts

  • Organize & Plan Proper Fixturing & Tooling For The Work Order

  • Perform in-Process Inspections Using Precision Measuring Tools, Answer Questions & Suggest Improvements

  • Maintain Great Communication With Programming, Tooling, Production Scheduler, & General Manager

  • Perform Basic CNC Lathe Programming (MasterCAM)

  • Updating Set-Up Sheets

  • Oversee Labor Tickets, Time Cards, & Paperwork /Work Orders Are Accurately Submitted

  • Keep a Clean & Safe Work Environment

  • Follow All PPE & Safety Guidelines

CNC Machinist Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • 3+ Years of Machine Shop Lead Experience Required

  • 5+ Years of CNC Lathe Machining Experience Required

  • Excellent Attention to Detail, Accuracy, & Critical Thinking

  • Demonstrates Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills in English

  • Good Work Ethic & Positive Attitude, Team Player, Leads by Example

  • Must Have Excellent Attendance & Time Management

  • Must be Able to Stand For Extended Periods in a Warehouse Manufacturing Environment
