Job description

Sportsman Boats is looking for a CNC operator responsible for the operation of the CNC machines to cut materials while meeting production goals and high-quality standards. Our schedule is Monday - Thursday 5:00 am - 3:45 pm. There may be opportunities for overtime based on production needs.
What you will do:
  • Perform all assigned CNC operations meeting daily and weekly production goals while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
  • Transport materials to different areas of the CNC shop
  • Perform inspection of machined products and document results
  • Complete and maintain paperwork for parts
  • Assist in other work areas in upholstery department as needed

Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of experience as a CNC operator in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
  • Experience using small hand tools
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of material cutting, sewing, upholstery, and foam assembly
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to follow schedules
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Advanced verbal communication skills
  • Advanced time management and organizational skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience working with wood, leather, fiberglass, and vinyl in the marine industry
  • Experience using the Eastman, Axyz, 3-Axis, or 5 Axis and Router systems

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. This role routinely wears protective clothing and masks.
