Monday-Thursday 10 hr shift. Off Friday-Sunday.

Eddie Kane Steel Products has been a family owned and operated business providing exceptional service in the steel industry for over 25 years. The company motto has always been toย \Treat others as you would have them treat you\ย and we are in search of a full time CNC Thread Rolling Operator.

General Description:ย Responsible for setup, operations of all thread rolling equipment. Key responsibilities include equipment setup, equipment operation, part inspection. Hours are Mon-Thurs 2:00pm to 12:30am.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate all automated thread rolling equipment and additional assigned mechanical equipment.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of equipment and performs adjustments to keep threading machines in control.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications.
  • Use required gauging instruments (tri-roll gauge comparator calipers, etc.
  • Inspect anchor bolts and other products produced pass all customer requirements using SPC software.
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Eddie Kane Steel Safety and Quality policies/procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skill Sets:

  • Excellent (English) oral and written communications skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, phone manners and the ability to work with others
  • Basic reading and mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Proficient with tape measure and other measurement tools (micrometer, caliper, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret work instructions.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • CNC experienced (preferred)

Expectations:

  • Familiarity with all EKSP forms, documents, reports related to your job function.
  • Maintain neat and accurate written documentation as required.
  • Communicate all pertinent job related information to supervisor/manager on a daily basis
  • Primary focus will be on setup and controlled operation of threading machines.
  • Focus on efficiencies and time- and labor-saving steps; cost reduction; increased profitability
  • Conduct job duties in a safe and efficient manner. Abide by all safety policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
  • Promptly report any accidents, incidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to your supervisor
  • Performs all duties as assigned
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to frequently lift and/or move steel products.
