Job description

We are looking for a Student CNC Operator to join our dynamic team at Ohio Gratings Inc. where we provide opportunities for growth, hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment, and an environment that encourages innovation. The student CNC Machinist position provides high school students with hands-on machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines (lathes, mills) to complete precision machining tasks under guidance.
  • Learn to read technical drawings and work instructions
  • Observe machining processes to learn programming and tooling concepts
  • Follow all shop safety rules and machine guarding requirements

Education & Experience:

·       Must be a current high school senior or enrolled in a CNC programming, machining, or robotics school program.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, hands-on environment with shifting priorities.
