American Millworks is looking for an experienced Casework Project Lead to help drive production efficiency and lead our casework manufacturing team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with extensive experience in CNC machining, beam saw operations, dowel construction, and lean manufacturing practices.
The ideal candidate is passionate about building quality architectural casework while continuously improving production processes, mentoring team members, and increasing shop throughput.
What You'll Do
  • Lead daily production of commercial casework projects.
  • Operate and oversee CNC routers, beam saws, and dowel construction equipment.
  • Improve workflow, production scheduling, and shop efficiency.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase throughput.
  • Train and mentor production employees on equipment, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and production documentation.
  • Ensure products meet company quality standards and project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and shop leadership to optimize production.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural casework or cabinet manufacturing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with CNC routers, beam saws, and dowel construction systems.
  • Ability to read architectural plans and shop drawings.
  • Experience with commercial casework manufacturing processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on increasing production efficiency.
  • Experience troubleshooting machinery and manufacturing processes is a plus.
