Role Overview
Saronic Technologies is seeking a CNC Programmer to support high-performance manufacturing operations across our autonomous vessel production programs.
This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs supporting production, prototyping, tooling, and vessel manufacturing activities. The CNC Programmer will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, production, and quality teams to improve machining efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enable scalable production of vessel components and assemblies.
The ideal candidate combines strong CAD/CAM expertise with practical machining knowledge and a passion for continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Develop, validate, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, routers, and other automated manufacturing equipment
โ€ข Generate toolpaths and manufacturing processes from CAD models and engineering drawings
โ€ข Support prototype, production, and engineering development efforts through rapid programming and process development
โ€ข Improve cycle times, machine utilization, tooling strategies, and manufacturing efficiency
โ€ข Collaborate with engineers to improve part manufacturability and production scalability
โ€ข Support fixture design, workholding development, and manufacturing process standardization
โ€ข Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions to improve quality and throughput
โ€ข Maintain CNC program libraries, revision control, and manufacturing documentation
โ€ข Support production readiness, first article inspections, and process validation activities

Qualifications
โ€ข Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Manufacturing Technology, Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
โ€ข 3+ years of CNC programming experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, maritime, or industrial environments
โ€ข Proficiency with CAD/CAM software
โ€ข Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds and speeds, and workholding techniques
โ€ข Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and technical specifications
โ€ข Familiarity with multi-axis machining operations and CNC machine controls
โ€ข Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
โ€ข Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration capability
โ€ข Experience programming 4-axis and 5-axis machining centers
