Job description

DemandCNC is seeking a highly skilled and detail‐oriented CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, a commitment to quality, and the ability to operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines to produce high‐accuracy components. This role is critical to ensuring DemandCNC delivers consistent, reliable, and industry‐leading machining results for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC mills/lathes to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
  • Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and program edits as needed to maintain part accuracy.
  • Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards throughout production runs.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and dimensional deviations.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
  • Document production data, quality checks, and any deviations or corrective actions.
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience (mills, lathes, or both).
  • Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, feeds/speeds, and machining best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement instruments.
  • Experience with CNC programming (Fanuc, Haas, or similar) preferred.
