Quad West Allis is currently hiring a Plasma Table Operator to join our team!

Job Description:     

A Plasma Table Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC plasma cutting tables to cut and shape metal parts according to specifications. This role often involves working in manufacturing or fabrication environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Setup and Operation:
    • Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting tables.
    • Program the machine and enter cutting instructions.
    • Ensure proper alignment and positioning of materials.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    • Perform routine maintenance on the plasma table.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the machine.
    • Replace consumables like tips and electrodes as needed.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
    • Make adjustments to the machine settings to ensure precision cuts.
    • Maintain records of production and quality checks.
  • Grinding Finished Parts:
    • Grind and smooth finished parts to remove rough edges and ensure a clean finish.
    • Use hand tools or power grinders to achieve the desired surface quality.
    • Inspect parts after grinding to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Ensure the work area is clean and free of hazards.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with other team members to meet production goals.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
    • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Experience with CNC plasma cutting machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
  • First shift Monday Through Friday 7A.M -3:30 P.M.
