Job description

CNC Operator – Chicago, IL
Location: Chicago, IL | Full-Time | On-Site
Join a team where your skills directly impact the production of high-precision components used in critical industries like medical, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.  We are looking for a CNC Operator who takes pride in craftsmanship, accuracy, and continuous improvement.  We are accepting applications to fill our night shift positions. 
What You’ll Do:
  • Set up & operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints & engineering drawings.
  • Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. 
  • Check finished parts to tight tolerances (up to 4 decimal places).
  • Make tool offsets and minor program edits to maintain quality and efficiency. 
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Train team members as needed and contribute to continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.
  • Knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and GD&T preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship. 

Experience and Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience operating CNC machines.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, sit, or bend for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Lift up to 35 lbs. independently and with control.
  • Reach overhead, use hands for extended periods, and maintain dexterity.
  • Ability to stoop or kneel for extended durations.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment:
  • Regular movement through manufacturing areas near industrial machinery and moderate noise levels.
  • This is an on-site role; remote work is not available.
