Day Shift - 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday)
Position Overview
The CNC operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts that meet strict quality standards. This role ensures compliance with company standards, policies, safety guidelines, and Lean Manufacturing principles while minimizing variation in production. Operators are expected to monitor and maintain equipment, validate quality through metrology, and keep accurate documentation to support continuous improvement. Success in this position requires attention to detail, consistent machine performance, and proactive communication to sustain a high-performance work environment.
Job Responsibilities
  • Adherence to Operational and Company Standards and Policies.
  • Comply with safe work practices; understanding work injury procedures, workers comp, and safety standards
  • Machine parts on target with minimal variation
  • Use metrology to validate quality on all machined components
  • Be able to run machines efficiently based on daily standard work
  • Conduct machine maintenance upon interval
  • Utilize Company, and machine monitoring software
  • Documentation and communication skills
  • Sustain a high performance worksite using Lean principles
  • Continuous improvement
  • All other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Results
  • Demonstrates adherence to safety standards and policies
  • Consistently produces parts within specified tolerances and quality standards
  • Achieves daily/weekly production efficiency targets with minimal downtime
  • Maintains equipment to reduce unexpected downtime and extend machine life
  • Completes all required Key Performance Indicator (KPI's) metrics in a timely manner
  • Advance to operator level 3 via Critical Output Analysis (COPA) and beyond
  • Achieve and maintain expected yield and scrap targets per COPA level

Job Qualifications (Required)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, part prints, process documentation, and work center guidelines
  • Pass a background check (Which is initiated upon extension and acceptance of a job offer.)
  • High attention to detail
