CNC Operator Job Description

Responsibilities:

CNC VTL operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC vertical lates to machine parts. Please see

the requirements for this role:

  • 3+ years of experience operating CNC lathes,

Preferably VTL machines.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with CNC controls ( Fanuc, Siemens) preferred.
  • Familiar with G-Code and M- Code
  • Skilled on tool changes, offsets, and set-up adjustments.
  • Knowledge of calipers tape measure, and other measuring tools.
  • Understanding of tolerances and surface finish requirements.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. regularly
  • Stand for long periods, bending and manual moving.
  • Knowledge of basic programming or editing G-code at the machine.
  • Experience with large-diameter parts.
  • Understanding of tool wear and machine maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and quality control.
