Job Summary:

Responsible for supporting maintenance of all machinery in the facility 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily maintenance for the plant including mechanical, electrical, and preventative (PM) maintenance functions
  • Provide support and direction to work team, including leading, motivating, and training to achieve production results and enhance teamwork
  • Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages while collaborating with other departments
  • Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages or information obtained from operators to diagnose and repair equipment problems
  • Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools and utility systems to minimize manufacturing downtime and completes all required paperwork and documentation
  • Disassemble, clean and reassemble production machinery
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Ensures all maintenance and repair activities follow OSHA, Federal, Local and plant safety standards.
  • Investigates equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and make recommendations
  • Review, approve, and prioritize work requests

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with increasing levels of responsibility
  • 1+ years of industrial maintenance management experience
  • Experience maintaining Makino and DMG Mori horizontal/vertical CNC Machines
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints
  • Prior experience with CNC, hydraulic systems, electrical work, overhead cranes and safety procedures
  • Ability to work first shift with flexibility to support 24/7 operations
  • Ability to deal with multiple levels of people effectively, in group and individual settings
  • Demonstrated ability to develop project plans and manage maintenance schedules
  • Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work independently with little direction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to PLC programming logic


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, bend and reach above shoulders. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures. The employee must comply with PPE requirements including but not limited to respiratory mask, safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and steel toed safety shoes. Â
