We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated CNC Turning/Swiss Machinist (Setup and Operate) to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Job Summary:
The CNC Turning/Swiss Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating complex Turning/Swiss jobs, ensuring parts meet strict specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic environment. Cross-training opportunities may be available to expand your skills and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate complex Turning/Swiss jobs independently, ensuring parts conform to specifications.
  • Adjust and modifications to tooling and programming as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to ensure accurate machining.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial calipers, height gages, depth gages, and optical comparators.
  • Maintain tight tolerances required for aerospace and power generation components.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering to implement solutions.
  • Maintain 5S practices on machines and in the work area; adhere to all safety protocols and wear protective equipment.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Crosstrain and assist with other manufacturing duties, as necessary.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Physical ability to bend, lift up to 50 pounds, pull, push, sit, reach, and stand for up to 8 hours daily.
  • High School Diploma, technical school degree, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience setting up and operating CNC Lathe/Turning/Swiss machines preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement.
  • Excellent work ethic, adaptability, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Team-oriented with a strong desire to succeed.

Working Conditions:
