Job description

We are seeking dependable, innovative candidates who work confidently and independently. CNC machinists can expect to setup & operate OKUMA CNC LATHES & OKUMA CNC MILLS. You should have above average mathematical skills, computer and interpersonal communication skills, physical stamina and a keen interest in production and processing.

To ensure success as a CNC machinist you should be creative, perceptive, detail-oriented and an active learner. Top candidates will have exceptional critical thinking, time management and communication skills, an ability to handle complex machines and tools, and a willingness to lead by example in the workplace.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:

·         Performing inspections of products to ensure accuracy.

·         Setting up and running pre-proven programs.

·         Analyzing and improve chip control, tool life, and cycle times.

·         Analyzing information and finding the best solutions to problems.

·         Helping team members figure out solutions.

·         Keeping the work environment safe, clean and organized.

·         Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work.

CNC Machinist Requirements:

·         4+ years in a production machine shop

·         4+ years’ experience setting up lathes and/or mills

·         Strong analytical thinking skills

·         Fluent in all inspection tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Bore gauges, etc.)

·         Fluent in blueprint reading and interpretation

·         Familiar with basic G&M code programs
