CNC Machinist / Operator

Location: Shawnee, OK
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $26.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience
Work Environment: Climate-Controlled Machine Shop

We are looking for an experienced and dependable CNC Machinist / Operator to join our machine shop. This position is for someone who understands CNC machining and is comfortable setting up and operating both CNC mills and lathes.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes
  • Read and understand G-code
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
  • Use probing systems for part setup and inspection
  • Indicate parts and fixtures using a dial indicator
  • Set and adjust work and tool offsets
  • Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
  • Maintain quality and dimensional tolerances
  • Troubleshoot basic machining and setup issues
  • Keep machines and work areas clean and organized
  • Report equipment, tooling, or quality issues promptly

Qualifications

  • CNC machining experience preferred
  • Ability to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes
  • Working knowledge of G-code
  • Experience with CNC probing systems
  • Ability to properly use a dial indicator and indicate parts
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
