Job description

GL Staffing is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist / Mechanic with a strong background in machine repair and tool and die fabrication. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment and has a knack for troubleshooting and restoring high-performance machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain CNC machinery and related mechanical systems.
  • Fabricate or modify parts as needed using manual and CNC equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure machines remain in peak condition.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve machine efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and modifications.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC machinist and/or mechanical technician.
  • Strong background in machine repair and tool and die work.
  • Proficiency in operating manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.
  • Ability to fabricate custom parts from technical drawings or worn-out components.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
