Job Description

Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes, including tooling, fixturing, and offsets.
  • Create, modify, or troubleshoot CNC programs using CAM software or G-code.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
  • Perform first article inspections and adjust programs as needed using micrometers and calipers.
  • Optimize machining parameters for quality, efficiency, and tool life.
  • Conduct in process and final inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Document machining data and collaboration with Engineering and Quality.
  • 3D Printing experience, a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational training, apprenticeship in CNC machining, or technical degree in machining is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 2-5 years related machining experience.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting imperial and metric engineering drawings.
  • Ability to solve problems and analyze data.
  • Takes initiative and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills.
  • Self-confident, approachable, and professional in interaction with others.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Knowledgeable of safety protocols and procedures in a machine shop setting.
