JOB TITLE: CNC Manufacturing Director


JOB SUMMARY
The CNC Manufacturing Director is responsible for directing and coordinating daily operations in CNC. This includes developing efficient strategies to ensure the company meets production goals and standards at minimal manufacturing costs. Work directly with department heads to coordinate purchasing, production, and distribution operations.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 or more years of proven experience as Manufacturing Director or equivalent position
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
  • 5 or more years of proven experience working with data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • 5 or more years managing a Machine Shop
  • 5 or more years of experience with cutting tools & fixture design
  • 5 or more years of experience with Machining Process Planning
  • Expertise with MS Office and various business software is required (e.g. ERP, CRM, MRP)
  • BS/BA in business administration or relevant field required

  • Knowledge of industry's legal rules and guidelines
  • MBA or similar preferred

CORE DUTIES

  • Forecasting of annual production schedule for Diamondback CNC
  • Enter all biweekly and monthly production schedules
  • Responsible for managing inventory and adjusting PO's as necessary to keep inventory value at set goal 
  • Handle visits from vendors and customers when scheduled
  • Develop written procedures and processes for inventory movement and flow throughout the receiving process
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve revenue and profitability through proper execution of the production schedule
  • Handle or delegate day-to-day operational questions that arise from within each department 
  • Provide insight for new projects from start to finish: Includes product specs, annual forecasting, initial prototype purchasing, and finalized production PO's
  • Create new item variation BOM's and assist with distributor pricing
  • Provide leadership and direction for CNC management and all employees on the floor
  • Develop operational and team goals aligned with business and financial plans
  • Create, monitor, and maintain production schedules
  • Oversee product flow (including outside processes) and implement new processes as required to improve efficiency and to support growth in new product lines
  • Drive cost reduction activities to see which areas we can save cost
  • Assist in the training of our ERP system (SAP Business One) for all new employees
  • Perform all normal supervisory functions to include hiring, training, mentoring, and discipline
  • Playing a key role in the professional development of the managers within the company, as well as working along-side human resources to create and maintain an operating culture that encourages professional development overall
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the CEO

HOURS

  • 1st shift position
  • Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
