Job description

CNC Machinist – Direct Hire Opportunity in Hazelwood, MO

Join a growing precision manufacturing team where your machining skills make a direct impact. We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to support the production of precision tooling, dies, and machined components for manufacturers across the country. This is a direct hire position offering long-term career growth, excellent benefits, and a stable work environment. Compensation is based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a variety of CNC milling machines, including Okuma, Makino, and similar equipment.
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes.
  • Produce high-quality machined components while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with department leadership to meet production schedules and throughput goals.
  • Support Toolmakers and fellow machinists with tooling and machining projects.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist with special projects as needed.
  • Follow all quality, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
  • Work within an ISO 9001-certified quality management system.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience.
  • Experience with CNC mills and lathes, including setup and programming.
  • Background in tooling, metal stamping dies, or metalworking is highly preferred.
  • Strong blueprint reading, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
