CNC Mill & Lathe Operator – Entry-Level Job DescriptionGeneral Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines (mills or lathes) to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, turning, and grinding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job specifications.
  • Load raw materials and parts onto machines.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed.
  • Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of CNC machinery and tooling.
  • Ability to read mechanical documents and drawings.
  • Familiarity with precision measurement tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
