Job description

Westaff is looking for a Machinist/CNC Laser Operator in the Warwick RI area for Immediate Start!

Location: Warwick RI

Shift: Monday – Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm  

Pay: $25/hr + $2/hr Shift Differential


This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual metal fabrication equipment while ensuring quality, safety, and production goals are met.


Job Duties:

·        Set up and operate CNC laser and metal fabrication equipment

·        Program and edit CNC machines as needed

·        Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders

·        Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards

·        Troubleshoot equipment and make machine/tooling adjustments

·        Perform routine maintenance and operational checks

·        Train team members on machine and department operations

·        Move materials and operate material handling equipment as needed

·        Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area


Qualifications:

·        Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions

·        CNC setup, programming, and machine operation experience

·        sheet metal fabrication experience preferred

·        Familiarity with metric blueprint dimensioning is a plus
