Job description

Job Description:
The following is only an outline of essential duties and responsibilities. At the manager’s discretion, this outline can change to meet current business needs.
The CNC Mill / CNC Lathe Machinist should be proficient in all aspects of CNC Milling / Lathe Machining to include set-up, operating and editing. Duties/Responsibilities:• Maintains specifications by observing tooling; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; trouble shooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools.• Sets up CNC Machines to perform a combination of machining operations such as facing, turning, boring, threading, drilling, reaming, knurling metal work pieces to specifications.
• Sets up and operates CNC Machines to complete metal work pieces to specifications.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret customer blueprints and company operation sheets.
• Ability to use the Machine Control.
• Ability to set tools and enter offsets into Machine Control.
• Ability to follow set up instructions including setting up fixtures, vices, and rotaries.
• Troubleshoot and work directly with Programming and inspection to adjust CNC programs, as required.
• Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc. as required.
• Operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements to include proper documentation, revision control, traceability and lot control.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work well with others

• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Able to handle and follow instruction
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 year’s experience as Machinist required
