CNC MACHINIST - 2ND & 3RD SHIFT | TOANO, VA
Pay: $25-$40/hour, based on experience
Shifts Available:
2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
3rd Shift: 10:00pm - 6:00am
Benefits: Weekly pay, Medical, Dental, Vision
The Lee Group is hiring experienced CNC Machinists for an urgent opening with a manufacturing client in Toano, VA. This role is ideal for machinists with strong CNC experience who are comfortable working off shifts and producing precision parts in a manufacturing environment. CNC setup experience is a plus.
CNC Machinist Responsibilities
Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines, including Haas CNC Mills
Operate manual lathes and mills as needed
Monitor machine operations and inspect parts for quality and accuracy
Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Maintain and clean machines, tools, and work areas
Report equipment issues, defects, or production delays to supervisors
Meet production schedules and quality standards
Perform other duties as assigned
CNC Machinist Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Previous CNC machinist experience required
Experience with CNC machining in a manufacturing or job shop environment
Ability to perform CNC setup is a plus
Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Good verbal and written communication skills
This position is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and industrial conditions. Requires standing, walking, bending, and operating machining equipment throughout the shift. Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted throughout the duration of the shift.
