$17-30+ per hour!

We are seeking an experienced ID/OD Grinder Operator to join a precision manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating internal diameter (ID) and outside diameter (OD) grinding machines to produce precision components according to blueprints, specifications, and tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate will have previous grinding or precision machining experience and be comfortable performing machine setups, inspecting finished parts, and making adjustments to maintain quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate ID and OD grinding machines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Select and install grinding wheels, fixtures, tooling, and workholding devices.
  • Adjust machine speeds, feeds, and grinding parameters as needed.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
  • Utilize micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and production standards.
  • Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and defects.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, wheel dressing, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Complete production records and inspection documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating ID/OD grinders or similar precision grinding equipment required.
  • Experience setting up and operating manual and/or CNC grinding machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
  • Experience working with tight tolerances and precision-machined components.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain quality and productivity standards.

This position is ideal for an experienced precision machinist or grinder operator with strong setup, inspection, and measurement skills who takes pride in producing high-quality components to tight tolerances.
