CNC Machinist – Night Shift

Job Type:

Contract-to-Hire

Pay:

$20–$34/hour based on experience and skill level

Schedule:

Nights: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM–6:00 AM

Days: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–5:30 PM

Shift Premium:

Additional night shift premium

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our day shift team. This is a hands-on position for a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work, quality, and consistent results.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines with minimal supervision.
  • Machine a variety of materials to required tolerances.
  • Operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment.
  • Make CNC program adjustments as needed.
  • Perform 3D machining and other machining operations.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make process adjustments.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Work with team members to resolve machining challenges and improve workflow.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
  • CNC setup and operation experience.
  • Experience in a non-production or job shop environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to operate CNC controls.
  • Ability to accurately set up and machine a variety of materials.
  • Experience with mills, lathes, grinders, or similar equipment.
  • 3D machining experience is a plus.
  • Basic machinist hand tools and own tools preferred.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team-oriented and professional.
  • Dedicated and career-minded.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
