POSITION SUMMARY

Programs, sets up, and operates CNC machinery to manufacture complex precision parts for drilling and geotechnical equipment, ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality.ย 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program CNC machines using G-code and/or CAM softwareย 
  • Perform complex setups, including fixturing, tooling selection, and offsetsย 
  • Machine close-tolerance parts from steel, aluminum, and specialty alloysย 
  • Inspect finished parts to blueprint specificationsย 
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actionsย 
  • Mentor CNC Operators and Assistantsย 
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection recordsย 


Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GEDย 
  • 3+ years CNC machining experienceย 
  • Proficiency in G-code programmingย 
  • Ability to work to tight tolerances (0.001")ย 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technologyย 
  • CAM software experience (Mastercam, Fusion 360)ย 
  • Experience machining drill rods or downhole toolsย 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Prolonged standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, exposure to cutting fluids, metal dust, and noise. Required PPE at all times.ย
