Job description

The CNC Machinist operates mill and lathe CNC machines to manufacture precision parts according to specifications. This individual plays a key role as an individual contributor in setting up machines, calibrating tools, and ensuring product quality through thorough inspections. The role involves following, modifying, and creating CNC programs, as well as performing routine machine maintenance during day or night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mill and lathe CNC machines safely and efficiently
  • Set up machines and calibrate tools for each production run
  • Inspect parts for quality and adherence to blueprints
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and resolve problems promptly
  • Modify existing CNC programs and create new programs as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance to maintain optimal machine performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in CNC machining
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and G-Code
