CNC Advanced Machinist
Location: Reading, PA
Shift: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday
Salary: $32.00-$38.00/HR
Are you passionate about precision and innovation? Join our dynamic team as a CNC Advanced Machinist, where you'll bring complex parts to life. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces challenges, and takes pride in crafting high-quality components with minimal margin for error. You'll play a key role in driving efficient production, maintaining a safe and organized workspace, and pushing the boundaries of advanced manufacturing.
What you will do:
  • Create & Optimize: Program CNC machines for new parts, focusing high-precision and complex components.
  • Lead Projects: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance machining operations, reduce waste, and optimize cycle times.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure a timely and successful job completion.
  • Inspect & Improve: Perform first article and in-process inspections using manual gauges; make real-time program edits to resolve issues.
  • Document & Track: Use ERP software to log job details and time, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
  • Maintain Excellence: Support safety, 5S, and quality standards while keeping your workspace clean and organized.

What you will bring:
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in CNC machining, blueprint reading, manual inspection, and program writing/revision.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks, Mastercam, and 3-axis programming and operation, a plus.
  • Hands-On Ability: Skilled in setup and operation of 3--axis machines.
  • Physical Readiness: Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $32-$38. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
