Job Description:
CNC Machinist II
  • Location: Libertyville, IL
  • Salary: $24.00-$30.00

As a CNC Machinist, you'll help drive production excellence by maintaining a clean, efficient, and collaborative environment. Your work ensures minimal downtime, consistent quality, and a culture of growth and stability.
Principal Accountabilities
As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will:
  • Log time and job data using ERP software
  • Interpret work orders, flow sheets, and part drawings to understand job requirements
  • Inspect blueprint dimensions using manual gauges
  • Load and verify tools and fixtures; fabricate basic fixtures when needed
  • Pull and verify correct materials from staging area per WOPAC
  • Set up and operate 3-axis mills and basic 2-axis lathe work
  • Upload/download CNC programs from programmer to machine
  • Align vices and locate fixture centers accurately
  • Submit first article and final inspections to Quality Assurance
  • Run production parts and conduct in-process inspections
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S principles
  • Perform daily and monthly machine preventive maintenance
  • Communicate with Supervisor to ensure successful job completion
  • Support all safety and quality system requirements
  • Take on additional duties as assigned
  • This is a safety-sensitive position

Knowledge / Skills / Experience
We're looking for a skilled professional who brings precision and pride to their craft:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic proficiency with ERP software.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in:
    • CNC Machining
    • Blueprint reading
    • Manual inspection gauges
    • Editing and writing CNC programs
  • Strong basic math skills: trigonometry knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $24.00-$30.00. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
