Pay Range: $18-20/hourPosition Description:
Assist the Nurse Educator with hands-on training in the ServiceNet Staff Development Center. The part time CNA/Trainer will guide direct care staff in the skills needed to care for individuals in Residential Programs safely and effectively, with confidence and competence. All trainings will focus on meeting the needs of individuals while fostering independence and maintaining dignity. In addition to training responsibilities, this position will work part time to support nursing scheduling operations to ensure safe staffing coverage and continuity of care across residential programs. Responsibilities include maintaining nursing schedules, coordinating training schedules, assisting with coverage needs, and supporting communication between nursing staff and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Nurse Educator and Informatics Specialist in the training of all residential direct care staff in: Direct Care with Dignity, ADL Care, Vital Signs, Safe Transfers, Mouth Care, Nail Care, Diabetic Foot Care, ROM Exercises, Ambulation, Applying Compression Stockings, and Positioning.
- Provide ongoing support and reinforcement of training standards to direct care staff.
- Assist with continuing education initiatives within the department
- Assist in developing and maintaining nursing schedules across residential homes, including full-time, part-time, flex, and per diem staff.
- Support real-time schedule adjustments related to callouts, staffing changes, and client care needs.
- Coordinate and maintain nursing training schedules.
- Assist with communication regarding schedule updates, staffing needs, and coverage changes.
- Track and communicate staffing updates, time-off requests, and scheduling concerns to nursing leadership.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to help ensure continuity of care and appropriate staffing coverage.
- Assist nursing staff with scheduling-related questions and communication.
- Maintain confidentiality of staffing information, schedules, and organizational data.
Position Qualifications:- High School Diploma / GED Required.
- College degree / certificate preferred.
- Current CNA Certificate or the ability and willingness to recertify a lapsed Certificate within three months of hire.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Have and maintain a valid Driver's License for a minimum of 6 months with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
