These contracts can be with hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, or staffing agencies in the Chicago area. Contract CNAs typically fill temporary or short-term staffing needs and may enjoy flexible schedules, competitive pay rates, and the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings. However, contract positions may not offer the same benefits as full-time roles and may require adapting quickly to new environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a CNA working on contracts in Chicago?

To excel as a CNA on contract assignments in Chicago, you need a current CNA certification, basic patient care skills, and knowledge of healthcare protocols. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and compliance with Illinois state regulations are typically required.
