Overview:

This role assists the Senior CN Hub Manager by overseeing multiple CN Hub facilities that supply fertilizer to other retail units in the surrounding marketplace. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, hardworking, have good time management skills, able to make decisions and work independently. The incumbent must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Working knowledge of excel is necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to:

  • Assure the management of the day-to-day operations of the facility according to divisional objectives to provide prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum profit margin
  • Assure the maintenance of daily records of incoming and outbound product shipments
  • Assure the proper delegation of duties through responsible training and clear job assignment definition and explanation
  • Ensure completion of invoice shipments and receiving daily
  • Monitor the work of all employees to correct deficient performance and effectively reward and develop all employees
  • Ensure proper processes are being utilized to track incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Ensure proper safety protocols are in place and are being followed to maintain a safe working environment
  • Ensure proper training and education of employees
  • Ensure Fertilizer Hub Mangers are building relationships with customers and agronomy locations
  • Repair and maintain the facility. Keep maintenance records
  • Always manage a five-year asset plan for all fertilizer hubs
  • Assist Senior CN Hub Manager prepare and manage budgets for assigned CN hubs
  • Communicate with Senior CN Hub Manager and utilize additional resources (other branch managers, credit, marketing, human resources, etc.) to maximize profitability
  • Vision for continuous improvement, problem solving, and growth opportunities
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the agricultural field, along with leadership experience and knowledge of fertilizer
  • Must understand basic business principles of inventory management and personal supervision
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and capable of learning company specific software
  • Strong math, mechanical, and electrical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer relations and service skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Compensation:

  • 18: $85,300 - $123,700

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
