Position: Construction Project Manager
Compensation: $100k - 130k (depending on experience)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
FLSA Status: Exempt
Schedule: Full-time, hours may vary


Job Summary:
CMT is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil and structural testing and inspection projects. This role includes managing budgets, personnel, client communications, scheduling, and technical quality. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, field oversight, and project management skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and personnel assignments

  • Prepare and submit project bids and estimates

  • Oversee field and lab report reviews for quality and compliance

  • Provide training and technical guidance to field staff

  • Conduct performance reviews, safety meetings, and field observations

  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and client requirements

  • Address client issues and maintain strong working relationships

  • Support business development and pursue new project opportunities


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 5+ years of relevant project management and supervisory experience

  • Strong understanding of materials testing, inspection methods, and code compliance

  • Excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills

  • Valid driver's license with clean record


Preferred Certifications:

  • WAQTC: Soils, Concrete, Asphalt

  • ICC: Reinforced Concrete, Masonry

  • Additional ICC certifications or structural inspection credentials a plus


Key Metrics for Success:

  • Project win rate and new client development

  • Client satisfaction and complaint resolution

  • Quality and performance of direct reports

  • Budget and profitability management

  • Minimum 70% billable utilization
