Job description

Position : Drupal CMS ("Content Management System")
Location : Albany area, NY
Duration : 6 months Plus
The purpose of the project is to build and implement a Drupal CMS. Working with the OSC project team, the programmer will build, test, and move the CMS to production. The Consultant will provide post-production maintenance and support.
Requirements:
The Consultant will be responsible for the performance of the following duties and responsibilities:
โ€ข architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display and information architecture;
โ€ข deliver full stack web solutions, including front-end UI and backed services;
โ€ข create custom modules as necessary;
โ€ข work closely with project team members and stakeholders to ensure an effective, visually appealing and intuitive implementation;
โ€ข build a responsive website that meets American with Disability Act (ADA) accessibility guidelines;
โ€ข analyze functional requirements and develop technical requirements;
โ€ข apply appropriate technology as a solution to the business problem;
โ€ข assist other team members in the creation of design documents and other related system documentation, and review and approve final technical design;
โ€ข assign development tasks to team members and assist as needed;
โ€ข provide CMS coding specifications and standards, and validate code against those standards;
โ€ข conduct technical walkthroughs of proposed system changes;
โ€ข manage unit testing following defined testing methodology;
โ€ข assign testing and quality assurance tasks to members and assist as needed;
โ€ข conduct code reviews and recommend changes;
โ€ข manage and monitor user acceptance testing of all code changes in a test environment, resolving any defects;
โ€ข conduct on-the-job training in PHP/CMS implementation for two or more State staff: and
โ€ข provide post-production maintenance and support.
Minimum Qualifications
The consultant must meet the following minimum qualifications:
โ€ข 36+ months of experience with:
โ€ข PHP, HTML, & XML;
โ€ข installing, setting up and configuring open source CMS;
โ€ข coding web pages that meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility guidelines;
โ€ข gathering, documenting, and managing functional requirements and developing technical requirements; and
โ€ข managing and monitoring unit and user acceptance testing, follow a defined testing methodology, and resolving any defects.
โ€ข 24+ months of experience with:
โ€ข responsive design;
โ€ข cross-browser compatibility; and
โ€ข MySQL
The Consultant must be able to work with business and IT professionals and have the experience identified above. In addition;
โ€ข The Consultant will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, excluding State holidays.
โ€ข Will provide all necessary IT equipment.
โ€ข The consultant will report directly to the Project Director.
