Job Type: Full Time, On site in Burlington, WI, with potential to work on a hybrid basis after 90 day Orientation period.

Job Summary:

NEL Frequency Controls is seeking a highly analytical and hands-on Quality Engineer to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This engineer will develop and implement quality control guidelines and policies that adhere to industry regulations and customer requirements. Supports both internal and customer initiatives and concerns throughout the manufacturing process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes, procedures and flow charts company wide.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electronic components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify, document, and resolve quality issues and non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence of quality issues and assurance of 8D reports
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and quality records. Track factory quality trends and metrics
  • Lead the team in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, in support of both ISO-9001 and AS9100D certification activities.
  • Provide training and support to team members on quality assurance processes and best practices.
  • Supervise a small team of 2-3 in the Quality department.
  • Analyze and optimize inspection plans for improved effectiveness.
  • Complete customer surveys that pertain to quality.
  • Support co-worker with regulatory and compliance certifications... i.e. RoHS, REACH, CMRT, etc.
  • Strong customer interface with RMA management support.



Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g. CQE, Six Sigma) preferred
  • ISO 9001 or AS9100D internal auditor certification or experience


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in the electronics industry. 5+ years desired.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100D).
  • Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams or similar)
  • Knowledgeable with electronic testing equipment and software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Presentation skills for reviewing quality metrics and actions to our management and customers.
  • Superb attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as the leader of a team, collaborating to achieve department and company goals.
  • Familiarity with frequency control products and related standards preferred.
  • Experience with reliability testing and failure analysis preferred.
