Job Title: IT Process Consultant ISO 9001, ISO 22301 & CMMI V3.0

Location: San Francisco, CA (SFO)
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Employment Type: Full-Time/Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Process Consultant with recent, hands-on experience implementing, assessing, improving, and auditing IT processes aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 22301, and CMMI V3.0.

This is a hands-on consulting role requiring experience across the complete process lifecycle: Assessment Process Definition Implementation Audit & Continuous Improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct current-state, gap, compliance, and process maturity assessments.
  • Define and redesign IT processes aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 22301, and CMMI V3.0.
  • Develop policies, SOPs, process maps, workflows, templates, controls, KPIs, and governance documentation.
  • Lead hands-on process implementation with IT teams and process owners.
  • Conduct workshops, process walkthroughs, training, and stakeholder sessions.
  • Establish metrics, governance, monitoring, and continuous-improvement mechanisms.
  • Conduct internal audits and audit-readiness assessments.
  • Prepare objective evidence and documentation for external certification/appraisal activities.
  • Identify non-conformities, perform root-cause analysis, and develop corrective-action plans.
  • Support ISO certification audits and CMMI appraisal/readiness activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Recent hands-on experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Recent hands-on experience with ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Systems.
  • Strong experience with CMMI V3.0, preferably Development, Services, or enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience implementing ISO/CMMI processes within enterprise IT organizations.
  • Strong experience with gap analysis, maturity assessments, internal audits, and remediation.
  • Experience developing process documentation, controls, metrics, and audit evidence.
  • Ability to work directly with technical teams, process owners, leadership, and auditors.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Lead Implementer
  • ISO 22301 Lead Auditor / Lead Implementer
  • CMMI V3.0 training, appraisal, or implementation credentials
