Job description

OptiMIM, a Form Technologies Company, uses state-of-the-art metal injection molding (MIM) technology to create high performing small precision metal components to almost any level of complexity and at virtually any volume. Learn more about the MIM process here: https://www.optimim.com/ We are seeking an experienced CMM Technician to support high-volume production of small, injection molded metal components by creating, qualifying, and implementing measurement processes. You will also provide support for engineering development and manufacturing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Review new product designs and recommend the best measurement processes. This will include a variety of tools including simple hand tools, custom fixtures, visual inspection systems and CMMs.Create the measurement processes for these new designs, then carefully evaluate them to ensure that they are accurate, repeatable and practical for use in a production environment.Complete new product qualification activity, including First Article Inspection, GR&R, and capability studies.Support production and QA activities to move production efficiently and disposition problem material effectively. This includes troubleshooting CMM programs, helping to disposition material, and continuously improving measurement procedures. REQUIREMENTS: AA degree in technical field (such as Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology) preferred3-5 years as a CMM Tech in a high volume manufacturing environmentProficiency in programming and operating CMMs (OPG, Zeiss, Mitutoyo) using software such as Zone3, PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar.Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), blueprint reading, and dimensional metrology.Experience with gage R&R studies.Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).Ability to wear a bump cap, hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety-toed shoes.Experience with molded metal components a plus.Employees must be a US Person as defined by ITAR. BENEFITS:Benefits : Medical (HSA or PPO), generous HSA contribution, Rx, dental, vision, long term disability, group life, dependent life, whole life, AD&D, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, FSA, LegalShield, transit pass gift card program, tuition reimbursement, and 401k with generous employer match.PTO:40 hours of Sick time, 80 hours of PTO, and 80 hours of (designated) holiday pay.
