Job description

Job Description: Programming and Operating Coordinate Measuring Machines to ensure best quality products and services.

Reporting to: Manager - CMM.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop CMM programs based on job line-up.

• Measure and adjust checking fixtures and gauges to meet final tolerance specifications.

• Perform overall functionality and appearance quality checks.

• Develop certification and measurement reports.

• Perform gauge R&R’s as well as part layouts.

• Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.

• Verify and maintain equipment accuracy as well as work area cleanliness and order.

• Other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of PC-DMIS and SolidWorks software an asset.

• Relevant experience with automotive checking fixtures.

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret part prints, product specifications, and GD&T.

• Efficient planning and execution of tasks.

• Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.

• Strong Mechanical background is considered an asset.

Education:

• Minimum High School diploma.

• Technical School Graduate or equivalent experience in a related manufacturing environment.
