Job Summary

The IPS Processing QA Inspector performs inspections of in-process and finished parts to verify compliance with quality, specification, and regulatory standards. This role follows established SOPs, utilizes precision tools, and ensures accurate documentation of inspection results. The Inspector supports packaging, labeling, and specialized processing tasks while maintaining a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspection of in-process and finished parts to verify compliance with quality and specification standards, utilizing established inspection procedures and criteria.
  • Interpret technical documentation, drawings, and inspection criteria to confirm dimensional, functional, and aesthetic requirements are met.
  • Operate and apply precision measurement tools and calibrated equipment to assess product conformance to metric and imperial standards.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of components, documenting results in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation in Device History Records (DHR) to support product traceability and compliance.
  • Verify entries for accuracy, legibility, and compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Support packaging and labeling of cleaned components, ensuring traceability, cleanliness, and conformance to handling protocols.
  • Perform specialized processing tasks such as laser etching, product cleaning, and verification of surface finish requirements.
  • Apply statistical sampling methodologies and quality sampling plans to inspection activities, ensuring representative and compliant product evaluations.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining organized, accurate, and compliant documentation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Work experience in similar environment helpful

  • Ability to document inspection findings clearly and accurately in inspection logs and quality records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in all quality and production records.
  • Strong attention to detail to identify defects, inconsistencies, and nonconformances during in-process and finished product inspections.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and cross-functional partners at all levels.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to work under changing priorities and production deadlines.
  • High level of customer service, consistently displaying a positive and professional attitude in all interactions.
