JOB TITLE: ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM & ITAM Solution Architect

LOCATION: San Jose, CA (Onsite)

JOB TYPE: Contract

EXPERIENCE: 8+ Years

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM & ITAM Solution Architect to lead the architecture, implementation, and governance of ServiceNow across ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping, IRE, Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), integrations, ServiceNow scripting, and platform governance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and govern ServiceNow architecture across ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM.

  • Define scalable architecture, implementation standards, and best practices.

  • Design enterprise CMDB architecture, data models, CI classes, and CI relationships.

  • Lead CSDM implementation and adoption.

  • Establish CMDB data quality, reconciliation, normalization, and lifecycle governance.

  • Configure and optimize Discovery, Service Mapping, IRE, and CMDB capabilities.

  • Define application, service, and infrastructure modeling strategies.

  • Lead end-to-end Hardware Asset Management implementations.

  • Design asset lifecycle processes covering procurement, deployment, inventory, refresh, retirement, and disposal.

  • Lead Software Asset Management initiatives including software discovery, entitlements, licensing, compliance, normalization, and reclamation.

  • Develop and troubleshoot Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, integrations, and automation.

  • Design integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise/third-party systems.

  • Support ServiceNow upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement.

  • Work directly with clients, business stakeholders, and IT leadership.

  • Lead architecture workshops, solution reviews, and governance discussions.

  • Mentor developers, administrators, and implementation teams.

  • Provide technical leadership through planning, implementation, and go-live.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 8+ years of ServiceNow experience.

  • 8+ years of total IT experience.

  • Strong ServiceNow Solution Architecture experience.

  • Strong expertise in CMDB and CSDM.

  • Hands-on experience with Discovery and Service Mapping.

  • Experience with IRE and CMDB data modeling.

  • Strong understanding of CI relationships, service models, and application models.

  • Hands-on HAM and SAM experience.

  • Strong ITSM and ITOM experience.

  • Strong ServiceNow scripting and JavaScript experience.

  • Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, and Flow Designer.

  • Experience designing and supporting ServiceNow integrations.

  • Strong data quality and governance experience.

  • Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong technical leadership experience.

  • Enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementation experience.

  • CIS - Discovery

  • CIS - Hardware Asset Management

  • CIS - Software Asset Management

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

  • ServiceNow Data Foundations (CMDB & CSDM)

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Enterprise ServiceNow transformation experience.

  • Experience with complex CMDB environments.

  • Experience with ServiceNow platform governance.

  • Experience working with large enterprise clients.
