We are currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) and 3rd shift (10pm to 6am), who will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all mail and bindery production equipment within the facility, ensuring that down time is keep to a minimum. Machinery involved includes CMC/W&D/, Flowmasters and MCS Inserters, Folding and Affixing equipment (MBO Finishing Lines and Folders), vacuum bases, hot melt glue systems, friction feeders and various other finishing equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant mail and bindery equipment
  • Conducts regular inspections of production equipment and performs daily preventive maintenance duties on plant equipment
  • Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
  • Assist and train operators in proper set-up procedures
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipts
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Report all safety hazards to shift supervisor and maintenance manager
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to work in a team environment; be a team player
  • Self-motivated - requires minimal supervision
  • Intermediate level of computer skills
  • Great oral communication skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance of mail and bindery equipment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Electrical experience a plus
  • 4-6 years of experience in maintenance of mail and bindery equipment preferred
  • Bi-lingual speaking a plus (English and Spanish)
  • Welding and Fabricating experience a plus
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints a plus

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to walk or stand for the entire assigned shift.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Exposure to hot, humid, and/or dusty environments.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and standing.
