Syndax Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Contractor, CMC Logistics Coordinator
At Syndax, we are determined to realize a future in which people with cancer live longer and better than ever before. Syndax Pharmaceuticals is a commercial stage biopharmaceutical company developing an innovative pipeline of cancer therapies.
The Role:
The Contractor, CMC Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments across Syndax's supply chain. This role will primarily interact with our Named Patient Program coordinator, Trade and Distribution team and our 3PL warehouses. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a great attention to detail. This person should also be comfortable managing multiple shipments at a time and working under tight timelines. We are looking for a contractor for 20-30 hours/week.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments of drug substance, drug product and/or finished product to Syndax customers
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documentation (invoices, Shipper Letter of Instruction, airway bills, etc)
  • Communicate with couriers, customs brokers, 3PL, and internal teams to facilitate smooth customs clearance, minimize shipment delays and execute shipments efficiently
  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or issues
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems
  • Provide timeline communication and pre-alerts to customers and stakeholders
  • Collect and review temperature monitor data

Desired Experience/Education and Personal Attributes:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • ASCM certification or coursework is desired but not required
  • 2-3 years of logistics experience managing complex, international and domestic shipments
  • Strong background with international shipping procedures, including courier selection and customs clearance
  • Prior biotech/pharma work experience
  • Experience with temperature-controlled shipping, including ambient and cold chain
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage competing deadlines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Thorough understanding of GDP's governing the distribution of pharmaceutical products

Location: While our corporate headquarters are located in New York City, this position is open to candidates from any location with a preference for east coast locations.
