Job description

The Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMA) at Sibley Memorial Hospital is a hybrid role responsible forensuringcoordination, facilitation, and delivery of quality patient care at Sibley Memorial Hospital in support of members of the Sibley Physicians Group (SPG). Through skilled triage and assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources, the Medical Assistant assists patients to achieve optimum functional health status and quality of life. In the role of the Administrative Assistant, individual will facilitate the patient flow on clinic days and ensure that she/he is alternating between administrative and clinical duties, depending on what is necessary on any given day.

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program required

Licensure/Certification/Experience:
  • Completion of CMA certification with the credentials of RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CCMA or CMAA requiredprior to hire
  • Valid BLS CPR certification required upon hire; JHH accepts AHA, Red Cross, and military training network
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of clinical experience (required) in Women's Health or Obstetrics (preferred).
